After a quiet spring, the Indiana Hoosiers women's basketball team picked up a big transfer in Sharnecce Currie-Jelks of UT-Martin. The IU men's basketball team gained some clarity on it's schedule with the Gavitt Games matchups announced while Athlon Sports announced it's preseason All-Big Ten teams with Jaylin Lucas highlighting Indiana's representatives.
On today's episode of Locked on Hoosiers, Jacob Rude (@JacobRude) breaks down the newest player to join the IU roster in Currie-Jelks. In her freshman season at UT-Martin, she was named Freshman of the Year in the Ohio Valley Conference as well as earning a First Team All-Conference selection.
Mike Woodson's crew will not take part in this year's Gavitt Games, perhaps not much of a surprise considering the Hoosiers have featured in the event more than any other Big Ten team. It leaves an opening in the schedule for IU that could be used in a number of ways, potentially against Notre Dame, even.
The show wraps by looking at Athlon Sports' All-Big Ten teams where Lucas was the First Team kick returner. Aaron Casey, Cam Camper, James Evans, Andre Carter and Matthew Bedford all also featured on the teams.
