The Indiana Hoosiers basketball team sounds like it could be without Xavier Johnson for quite some time based on reading between the lines of Mike Woodson's recent comments. On his radio show on Monday, Woodson provided an update on Johnson's injured foot.

On today's episode of Locked on Hoosiers, Jacob Rude (@JacobRude) breaks down Woodson's comments, which seem to indicate a medium- to long-term injury. Jalen Hood-Schifino may now be called upon to an even greater degree.

IU will have its first test without Johnson on Tuesday when they host Elon. It'll be the first chance for the team to apply the lessons learned against the elite teams to lesser competition.

The show wraps by looking at some of the things the Hoosiers need to do in this contest. Getting Trayce Jackson-Davis involved in more unique ways, a faster start and improvements from guards Tamar Bates and Trey Galloway all should be focuses.
