Mike Woodson, IU basketball getting active on recruiting trail

The fall recruiting period is open and Mike Woodson and the Indiana Hoosiers basketball coaching staff have been extra busy. Not only have they been all over the state, but the group has also bounced across the country to the likes of Montverde Academy, IMG Academy and Overtime Elite.

On today's episode of Locked on Hoosiers, Jacob Rude (@JacobRude) brings the latest information from the recruiting trail. While the future is at the forefront, IU did announce a Pro Day for the basketball program set for Oct. 7, giving NBA teams a chance to see the team up close this fall.

Shifting the focus to recruiting, a pair of Class of 2024 prospects received scholarship offers this week. Wing Tyler Betsey is a sharpshooter with size but the big name is No. 1 recruit Naas Cunningham received an offer from IU on Tuesday.

Woodson, Yasir Rosemond, Brian Walsh and Kenya Hunter have bounced across the country from Indiana to Ohio to Atlanta and Florida recruiting prospects this week. The quartet met at Montverde Academy on Tuesday to see 2024 big man Derik Queen, one of the top priorities for the staff.
