IU makes top 7 for Mikayla Blakes, Hoosiers targeting Jaylah, Nola Lampley

The Indiana Hoosiers women's basketball team landed in the top seven for Mikayla Blakes, one of the top recruits in the 2024 class. Two of the top in-state recruits in coming years, sisters Jaylah and Nola Lampley, are also on IU and Teri Moren's radar.

On today's episode of Locked on Hoosiers, Jacob Rude (@JacobRude) details the latest on recruiting for Indiana University, including '24 top-20 recruit Blakes and her thoughts on the program. The Lampley sisters at Lawrence Central will be two players to keep an eye on in the 2025 and 2026 classes.

Indiana's early work with 2025 center Layla Hays could pay big dividends after a breakout performance from her this summer. A connection to '25 forward Alex Eschmeyer and her family may also pay dividends for the Hoosiers down the road.

The show wraps by looking at prospects in the 2024, 2025 and 2027 classes. Indiana remains involved with Zania Socka out of Washington D.C. while the chase for Divine Bourrage out of Iowa could be tough. A name to watch in the future with be '27 prospect Haylen Ayers.
