The college basketball rivalry between the Indiana Hoosiers and Kentucky Wildcats looks as close as ever to a return after a decade-long hiatus. Both UK's John Calipari and IU's Mike Woodson have agreed to the deal and now it's on to administrators to seal it.
On today's episode of Locked on Hoosiers, Jacob Rude (@JacobRude) reacts to the latest news about the rivalry and where things stand. While a deal could be close, it appears unlikely to start before the 2024-25 season at the earliest.
The present-day roster, meanwhile, has a couple of potential x-factors on the roster, including Trey Galloway. The energetic wing was a vitally important member of last year's team and figures to at least have a big role on this year's season.
The episode wraps by looking at another potential x-factor in Miller Kopp. Entering his fifth year of college basketball, Kopp's veteran leadership will be huge and if he can return to form as an outside shooter, he could be a huge piece of the starting lineup.
