IU Hoosiers football vs. Western Kentucky Hilltoppers preview

The Indiana Hoosiers football team has a terrific opportunity to remain unbeaten on the season as they host the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. What version of the Hoosiers will appear on Saturday, though, and can they seize the opportunity?

On today's episode of Locked on Hoosiers, Jacob Rude (@JacobRude) previews the matchup between IU and WKU. The two sides have had many a memorable meeting with high-scoring affairs aplenty and Saturday could be the latest tale in that story.

For the Hoosiers to find success against Western Kentucky, the defense will have to do a better job defensively against the passing game than they did last season. Offensively, the team will have to compete against not just a talented secondary, but against the level of complacency and inconsistency that plagued them against Idaho.

The show wraps by looking at a handful of players that could prove vital in the Hoosiers' bid to move to 3-0. Shaun Shivers and Connor Bazelak will have big roles in whether the offense can put up points while Tiawan Mullen will anchor a defense looking to not replicate last year's effort.
