The Indiana Hoosiers football team continued its descent this season by further embarrassing itself with a loss to the Rutgers Scarlet Knights on Saturday. While it was a game IU was underdogs in, the way they continue losing these games has brought into question the future of Tom Allen.
On today's episode of Locked on Hoosiers, Jacob Rude (@JacobRude) recaps the Hoosiers loss to Rutgers as their downward spiral after a strong start continues. A team that once started the season so bright, IU looks to have now regressed at the midway point of the season.
And because of that, Allen's job is growing more and more uncertain as the Hoosiers keep losing in the same fashion. While his buyout will keep him employed through this season and likely into next, there's only a growing sense that his time could be coming to an end.
The show wraps by looking at the discussion of what is to gain by benching Connor Bazelak. Also, IU needs to better utilize some of it's most talented players in Jaylin Lucas and Donaven McCulley.
