The Indiana Hoosiers basketball has a chance to prove themselves on Friday against the Xavier Musketeers. After an offseason and preseason with plenty of hype surrounding IU, the trip to Cincinnati marks their first chance to make good on that buzz around the program.

On today's episode of Locked on Hoosiers, Jacob Rude (@JacobRude) previews a pair of weekend clashes for the men's basketball team. After traveling to Xavier on Friday, the Hoosiers - led by Trayce Jackson-Davis and Jalen Hood-Schifino - travel to Indianapolis to play Miami.

The women's basketball team responded to their win over Tennessee with a big one over Bowling Green back home on Thursday, led by a balanced attack of six double-digit scorers. IU can cap off a strong week, and a potential top-10 ranking next week, with a win over Quinnipiac on Sunday.

The IU men's soccer team will also look to rack up another NCAA Tournament win on Sunday when they host Saint Louis. In a battle between two bluebloods, the Hoosiers will look to move onto the next round of tournament play.

The show wraps by discussing Tom Allen's comments on NIL that drew some attention this week. Even if he's been losing too much of late, Allen's overall point about IU being left in the dust in the NIL era ring true now and will continue to even if he is fired.
