The Indiana Hoosiers men's basketball team will have an uphill battle for the Big Ten title this year after the league released the conference schedule on Thursday. After a slow start to the conference season, things will pick up for the Hoosiers with a daunting finish.

On today's episode of Locked on Hoosiers, Jacob Rude (@JacobRude) reacts to the Big Ten schedule and the breaks the Hoosiers got. At the start of conference play, IU will have a soft run-in before a much tougher finishing stretch.

Before the basketball season, though, there is plenty of football to be played, starting this weekend against Idaho. The Hoosiers will look to start 2-0 with a far easier opponent this week.

The focus of the offense in the contest will be showing a functional run game and a passing game that will continue building chemistry. Defensively, the team continuing to be a ball-hawking group that forces takeaways could set a tone for the season.
