After a very long wait, the Indiana Hoosiers basketball team is back in action on Saturday in an exhibition against Marian. Trayce Jackson-Davis, Xavier Johnson and Jalen Hood-Schifino kick off what could be a special season for IU.
On today's episode of Locked on Hoosiers, Jacob Rude (@JacobRude) previews Indiana's exhibition game, their first unofficial action of the season. The chance to see JHS and Malik Reneau take the floor as well as more TJD dunks is an exciting proposition in itself.
The final player season previews of the year include Xavier Johnson, someone who was a vital part of IU's surge late last season. If he can find a level of consistency, he could be important to Indiana challenging for titles this year.
The show wraps by previewing Jackson-Davis' season and what's in store for him. An improved 3-point shot is always going to be the hope for him, but avoiding foul trouble and being a consistent defensive force could be more than enough for IU this year.
