The Indiana Hoosiers football and women's basketball teams were bitten by the injury bug in big ways over the weekend. Grace Berger went down on Friday for the basketball team and Dexter Williams suffered a gruesome injury on Saturday in the Old Oaken Bucket game against Purdue.

On today's episode of Locked on Hoosiers, Jacob Rude (@JacobRude) recaps a depressing weekend of news for IU that centers on injuries. Williams' injury marred the rivalry game with the Boilermakers and adds more uncertainty to the upcoming offseason for IU.

Berger's injury, meanwhile, was the precursor to an inexcusable weekend for the Hoosiers in Vegas. A tournament akin to the Fyre Festival led to Teri Moren saying it set women's basketball back in the public light.

The show wraps on a positive as the IU men's soccer team will return to the Elite Eight after exacting revenge on Marshall for the 2021 National Championship game. Ryan Wittenbrink extended his streak to seven games with an assist or goal, setting up the lone score on a corner to seal the win.
