The Indiana Hoosiers men's basketball with Trayce Jackson-Davis isn't the only team in Bloomington that will have one of the nation's best players this year as the women's basketball team will be led by Grace Berger. On Tuesday, ESPN released a ranking of the top 25 players in the country with Berger firmly in the middle of those rankings.
On today's episode of Locked on Hoosiers, Jacob Rude (@JacobRude) looks at Berger's No. 17 ranking as well as Mackenzie Holmes' spot in the honorable mentions. Berger and Holmes also rank highly among the top players in the Big Ten and against opponents IU will face this year.
A new and old face will help anchor down the Hoosiers front court this season with Alyssa Geary coming in as a transfer from Providence. Kiandra Browne, meanwhile, returns for her third season after proving to be a valuable piece off the bench last year.
The show wraps by looking at Sara Scalia and what impact she could have on the Hoosiers this year. After being a No. 1 option last year, her transition to being a third option with her shots coming in different areas from different play types will be important this year.
