I have 2 hypothetical situations: what if HBCUs declined the automatic bid to March Madness, and also, every sports season should start with a SWAC/MEAC challenge. Virginia Union MBB is the regular season CIAA champion.
I have 2 hypothetical situations: what if HBCUs declined the automatic bid to March Madness, and also, every sports season should start with a SWAC/MEAC challenge. I feel a potential post season alternative is interesting to discuss. The SWAC & MEAC starting the season facing off in every sport would be a great way to create rivalries and play for conference superiority
Virginia Union MBB is the regular season CIAA champion. After defeating Shaw & Fayetteville State defeating Claflin, the worst case scenario still ends with Union as the champion. The worst outcome is Union ends in a tie with Virginia State & FSU. That’s a tie they would win.
