The transfer portal feels vilified these days. Yes, it takes players like Nyles Gaddy, but it also brought players like Aubrey Miller, Markquese Bell, Latrell Collier, etc. Grambling is using the portal to rebuild their passing attack and Texas Southern has used it for years to reload their very successful basketball team. There’s definitely some downsides but not enough to erase the upsides.
