We wrap up with highlighting the best of Gregory Moore’s run as SIAC commissioner.
Howard University is joining the Jordan brand after their Under Armour partnership expires this summer for all sports except golf, who has it’s own deal with Steph Curry’s brand. This makes the first time since 2003 the brand has partnered with an HBCU, that was North Carolina A&T. Howard has so many roots in Nike’s recent HBCU ventures that it only made sense for them to eventually pair with the Jordan Brand.
Damon Wilson stepped down as Bowie State to go to Morgan State Thursday morning, and the school hired Kyle Jackson as the interim in the same day. Coach Wilson has given Jackson the stamp of approval. Jackson is a Bowie State alum who has been a director of football operations at Georgia State in the past, this shows his leadership qualities.
SIAC commissioner Gregory Moore is stepping down after a 13 year run. This ends his time as the longest tenured commissioner in conference history. During this time, he absolutely transformed the conference financially. He took over a SIAC that had serious financial difficulties and made it a thriving conference that was also forward thinking while growing at the same time.
