For the first time in 7 years, the Bayou Classic won't send a team to the SWAC championship game. That might be off the table, but Grambling and Southern are still fighting for bragging rights in the state of Louisiana Saturday. In their week off, here are the things each team should have been trying to fix.

This year's Bayou Classic will be the first NCAA game with communication systems from coach to player. It's just a test run but success will land this system in the Power 5 conferences like the SEC, ACC, BIG 10, BIG 12, & PAC 12. This is a big move to making the college game more similar to the NFL.
