The FCS has just released their all HBCU team. This combines the top players from the MEAC, SWAC, & Tennessee State. There are some interesting takeaways from this list and we dove into all of them.

The Celebration Bowl being in Atlanta has one big benefit for Jackson State and South Carolina State, recruiting. Neither team recruits heavily in Georgia. Last year’s recruiting class makes up the majority of recruits from that area. Playing the biggest game of the year in Atlanta gives them a better chance to continue the momentum.

Shadeur Sanders has already had a sensational season full of accolades. He adds another accomplishment to his resume. He is the 2021 Jerry Rice Award winner for best freshman in the FCS. This makes him the first HBCU player ever to win this honor.
