FAMU beat Bethune Cookman to win the 2023 SWAC baseball championship. It was a war between two all-SWAC pitchers Nolan Santos and Hunter Viets. Viets got the better of this matchup and his ability to outlast and outperform Santos was a deciding factor of the game. Overall, the Rattlers were simply the better team in all aspects. This was a good culmination of a journey that was unpredictable for each team. Each team had to fight through the loser’s bracket and knock off a top 2 seed on the way to this matchup.

Raheem Hayes and Shemar Chambers represent the men and Paula Salmon & Jada Griffin represent the women. This is important after the Aggies lost their coach and star runner to Tennessee this offseason.
