Can Delaware State overcome a lackluster offense? Will they need to overcome a lackluster offense? Those are 2 completely separate question. They have the skill on defense to be a good team but they’ll need the offense to perform in order to be championship contenders.

Bowie State and Albany State made the AFCA top 25 poll. BSU came in at 8. Despite losing their head coach, there is still trust they’ll be a really good team. Albany State comes in at the same place they finished, 19. Virginia Union and Shaw also received votes, but Fayetteville State did not.

Hue Jackson says the QB battle at Grambling is close to being resolved. It’s currently a 5 man race with the season is approaching in a matter of weeks, so the clock is ticking. Until that decision is made, there is trust the defense can continue to win games as the offense tries to figure it out.
