We recap the weekend games before VGK went into the ASG break. The Golden Knights played a back-to-back and split games against the Rangers (win) and Red Wings (loss) before they headed into the 10 day break. VGK lost in Detroit 5-2 and won in NYC 5-2. The Golden Knights went into the All-Star break last year losing four straight games. They went 5-2 down the stretch nd the loss in the Red Wings game was their first in regulation in 8 games vs the NHL Eastern Conference teams. Jonathan Marchessault scored a hat trick on Friday night at MSG. He had eight goals and six assists over a six game span. Adin Hill is 2-0 in his starts since returning from injury, which is encouraging for VGK. The Golden Knights, Sunday, activated William Karlsson off LTIR, so the center will return after the break. Four players were sent back down to AHL Henderson.
