Is 2nd line left winger an area of weakness for VGK?

One area of weakness for VGK is the second line left winger. Five players have filled in at that position this season. Most recently, William Carrier started at that position in the Winter Classic. He moved up from the fourth line to play there. Brett Howden took his spot on the fourth line. This season Paul Cotter started at LW with Stephenson and Stone. He has not had the scoring punch, however, that Bruce Cassidy was looking for. We feel Pavel Dorofeyev needs more reps in the lineup, so his number could be called. Nontheless, VGK needs to find a consistent starter at that position. We discuss whether the Ben Hutton signing over the Christmas break will have an effect on VGK free agent signings next Spring.
