The Golden Knights registered their first win of the New Year Saturday night by defeating the New York Islanders 5-2 at T-Mobile Arena. The VGK got two goals apiece from Jack Eichel and Nic Roy. Eichel now has 16 points in his career vs the Isles. Logan Thompson, in his fifth consecutive start, turned away 28 of 30 shots. We have VGK injury updates as well. And we talk about the Golden Knights two new additions to the lineup in Lukas Cormier, who was brought up from the AHL Silver Knights and Matias Bjornfot, picked up off waivers from the L.A. Kings. Cormier tallied his first NHL point on an assist on one of Eichel's goals.
