The Golden Knights veterans stepped up to break a three-game losing streak in Toronto Tuesday night. The VGK exacted revenge against the Leafs in a 6-2 victory after Toronto blew out the Golden Knights in Las Vegas five days earlier 7-3. It was the veterans who carried the team: Jonathan Marchessault scored twice and added an assist. She Theodore added three assists for VGK, and William Karlsson scored a back-breaking goal to give the Golden Knights a two-goal lead at the end of the second period. It was an overall team effort. Jack Eichel was on the ice in a non-contact jersey for the first time since his knee injury on Jan. 11. And we talk about VGK regaining its identity.
