Ivan Barbeshev scored twice for the Golden Knights in Thursday's 5-1 victory over the visiting New York Rangers. VGK got out to a quick start on goals by Jonathan Marchessault and Barbeshev in the first period. Logan Thompson stopped 29 shots in the win. VGK played the game minus another starter as Michael Amadio missed the game with an upper body injury. We also preview the Golden Knights-Penguins game Saturday. Former Golden Misfit Reilly Smith is on the injured list, but hopefully he is still traveling with his new team so he can receive a standing ovation from the partisan crowd.
