Minnesota gains transfer portal commit from Kyler Baugh of Houston Baptist. The Junior DT joins the Gophers with 104 tackles on his resume and two years left to play on the field. Baugh joins the Gophers as his first Power 5 offer. He is likely to slot into the rotation at the interior defensive lineman positions with Darnell Jefferies and Trill Carter.

Gophers quarterback Tanner Morgan is back for his final year of eligibility in 2022. He saw his best statistical season in 2019 with offensive coordinator Kirk Ciarrocca. With Ciarrocca back with the program in 2022 we review Morgan's past few seasons as a passer. We then break down where he saw his best efficiency on the field as a passer and how that may be used to elevate his numbers in the coming season.
