San Francisco Giants starter Logan Webb took a no-hitter into the sixth inning, and had a very low pitch count, yet the bullpen was up as the inning began. Indeed, the Giants are monitoring Webb's workload for the rest of the season. And it's an easily defensive move for Gabe Kapler and the SF Giants considering the team's position in the standings and the fact that Webb has never thrown this many innings in a season.

The Giants have made several roster moves in recent days. Jharel Cotton was claimed off waivers and is active for today's game and will likely pitch bulk inning for the Giants. Shelby Miller was also called up, with Cole Waites sent down. Jason Vosler is getting another opportunity and he tripled in the Giants' win last night. Several of the bullpen auditions for the Giants have had really nice showings in September. Lewis Brinson was designated for assignment.
