Will Joc Pederson be back with the San Francisco Giants in 2023? It's easy to assume that a big year means he'll be out the door, based on the likes of Kris Bryant last year, but Pederson is a different type of player. His ceiling is more limited due to the fact that he's a platoon player with limited defensive or baserunning upside.
These factors make it more likely that the SF Giants will want to bring him back, because he won't cost something absurd like Bryant's seven-year, $182 million contract (which is already looking regrettable). A comp for Pederson may be Kyle Schwarber, who got a four-year, $79 million deal from the Phillies.
