The Calgary Flames are consistently "mid." They might be a wild card team that ends up picking in the middle of the draft. None of their players perform consistently at "elite" levels and their owner is perfectly okay with that. The Flames have had a quiet summer due to the lack of cap space and Elias Lindholm not giving the team an answer. At what point does Craig Conroy put his foot down and start calling the shots? Dan Vladar should be on the move here too but Conroy is supposedly waiting until his hand is forced. Apparently, Dustin Wolf being the next franchise goalie isn't enough. NHL front offices lack vision and can not be bothered to take a risk. What are they waiting for? They won't be in the office forever!
