The New Jersey Devils went with their plan B option and signed Ondrej Palat to a 5-year $30 million ($6 million AAV) contract. While he might not be the most flashy player in the NHL, he can definitely still be a huge help for the Devils both on the rink and in the locker room. In addition to his signing, Simon Nemec signed his entry level contract. So, the future is now for New Jersey.
