Unfortunately, the New Jersey Devils weren't able to select Juraj Slafkovsky. But instead of selecting Logan Cooley or Shane Wright, the elected to draft a defenseman. They ended up selecting Simon Nemec (Slovakia) with the second overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft. He's gonna be project, but he has a lot of upside. Also, Alex DeBrincat was recently traded away at a cheap price. I have some questions for the Devils as free agency nears.
