It was a disappointing debut for Jon Lester in a Cardinal uniform, despite "settling down" after a rocky first. We're way too late in the season for accepting these kinds of starts, and for the time being the acquisition of Lester doesn't look very good. The offense was sluggish and only mustered up one run in the 9th against a solid Max Fried for the Atlanta Braves.
