In a surprising and unexpected move, the Cardinals have traded Dexter Fowler to the Los Angeles Angels for player to be named later or cash. This move isn't necessarily a salary dump - Cardinals still paying $12.75 million of Fowler's contract - so it begs the question: why did St. Louis trade him?
