In this edition of Locked on Capitals Dan talks about another overtime loss. This time to the Vegas Golden Knights. The good news for the Capitals is that they were still able to pick up a point in both of their overtime losses. The Capitals have got to find a way to play a complete game. Laviolette on the OT loss: "I didn't like the way we played the third period. I understand the circumstances. I understand the situation but that doesn't mean you have to like the way we played the third. I thought that we sat back..."

The Capitals have also to add another name to the long list of players out with injury. Beck Malenstyn suffered an upper-body injury using his 6-foot-3 frame to block a shot.

These injuries are good opportunities for Connor McMichael and Joe Snively to prove they belong here.
