Inside today's Locked on Canadiens
It was a busy weekend for the Montreal Canadiens as they battled the Boston Bruins and the Vancouver Canucks. Despite a split in the games, it was still a good looking weekend for the Habs and Scott breaks down the good and the bad from a pair of games.
It's also time for Three Up, Three Down!
Kaiden Guhle announced himself in a big way on Saturday with the overtime winner against Boston, with Mike Matheson's struggles, is it time to hand the top pair duties over to Guhle? Also it's been a good week of showing from Juraj Slafkovsky, especially against Vancouver. While people want more goals, ignoring the good would be unwise as well. Also, despite the concerns about Nick Suzuki being broken away from Cole Caufield, he's been just fine and arguably one of the best Habs players of the last week.
On the downside of things,Scott looks at whatever the heck the Edmonton Oilers are doing, and why Ken Holland entering desperation mode is great news for a GM like Kent Hughes this season. Speaking of trade options, Jake Allen had a rough week, not entirely his fault but with a possible trade on the horizon he's hurting his value to the team in more ways than one. Finally, Scott gloats about being right about the NHL officiating standards changing after just a single month, and why that's also a problem.
