Tampa Bay Buccaneers Leonard Fournette will be an NFL free agent at the start of the new league year.
Fournette says he asked the Bucs for his release, and we say it doesn't matter since the team was likely releasing him anyway.
Now that his time is done in Tampa, the Detroit Lions, Seattle Seahawks, and Cincinnati Bengals lead the list of teams who could come calling once he's officially free.
And NFL Draft prospects like Zach Charbonnet (UCLA), Tank Bigsby (Auburn), and Chase Brown (Illinois) could be targets to replace Fournette. But so could pending free agents Jamaal Williams (Lions), Samaje Perine (Bengals), and James Robinson (Jets).
