In a significant addition to their roster, the Baylor Bears have secured the commitment of highly touted four-star quarterback Adam Schobel for the class of 2025. Schobel made the decision to join head coach Dave Aranda and the Baylor program, passing on offers from several other schools, including Oklahoma State, Houston, Sam Houston State, Texas State, and UTSA. His goal is to contribute to Baylor's resurgence and pursue a Big 12 championship.

Schobel, ranked as the 321st overall prospect nationwide, holds the distinction of being a four-star recruit according to the 247Sports index. He is also recognized as the 23rd-ranked quarterback in the country and the 48th-ranked player in Texas. Beginning his high school career at Columbus High, Schobel made an immediate impact, winning the Texas District 12-3A-I Newcomer of the Year award as a freshman. He displayed exceptional skills, throwing for 2,440 yards and 28 touchdowns with an impressive completion rate of 68%. Continuing his success as a sophomore, he recorded over 2,800 passing yards and an outstanding touchdown-to-interception ratio of 36-4.
