The Colorado Avalanche had a huge two game series against the Vegas Golden Knights and were up to the challenge. Vegas got the final say, netting an OT goal to take game two, but the Avs kept themselves within striking distance of the Knights in the standings and we are in for a sprint to the finish between these two teams.
We hear from Coach Bednar after the OT loss, and while he was happy with how his team stood up to the Knights, he wasn't all that trilled about a non tripping call against Vegas that sent Nathan MacKinnon into the boards during the extra period. Could it have changed the outcome, that's what power plays can do and in this case it could have benefitted the Avs.
