The Colorado Avalanche won two games in Finland but lost a legend back home in Denver.

Peter McNab, the legendary Boston Bruin and Avalanche play-by-play announcer since the Avs moved to Colorado, passed away Sunday night. No matter how long you have been an Avs fan, all you have heard call Avs games in Peter McNab. It will be strange not to hear his excitement for calling hockey games, but the stories people will tell about their interactions with Peter will live on forever.

On the ice, the Avalanche took both games against the Columbus Blue Jackets in Finland. In front of his home country, Mikko Rantanen stole the show with a game 1 hat trick, while depth players contributed more in these two games than at any other point in the season so far.
