The Colorado Avalanche were pushing their fans to log in daily and make Cale Makar the captain of the Central Division for the All-Star Game in February in Vegas. We aren't saying Makar isn't deserving. He should definitely be in the conversation. But it was somewhat surprising and a little funny that the guy the Avs were pushing fans to vote for isn't leading the vote. It's another Avalanche player entirely in Nathan MacKinnon. Should we be surprised by this? And are All-Star games even necessary. If they are, who should go? The genuine league all-stars or players just having a good season? Kyle and Chris discuss.
They also get into the Brad Marchand comments about the league and the Olympics. Marchand is not happy the league has no problem instituting taxi squads for NHL games and feels like they should do the same for the Olympics. Is he right?
Finally, since it is the end of the year, Kyle and Chris will look into some of their favorite moments from the Avs in 2021.
