As you are well aware, the Colorado Avalanche are awaiting their opponent to face to battle it out for the Stanley Cup. You don't get to this point of the season without some memorable moments along the way. So since we have some time before Game 1 kicks off, why not go back and take a look at some of them.
Opening night seemed so far away at this point, but it did happen and the roster for that night looks oh so different than the roster the Avs have today. Maybe we expected that, but we did have many aspects of that opening night roster against both ECF teams, and the Avs won all four of those games.
We also remember the start of the season, and how it didn't take off as quickly as Avs nation would have hoped. Leading many to start chanting fire Bednar. What did Joe Sakic do? SIgned him to an extension.
