The Colorado Avalanche are prepping for a five game road trip starting Saturday in Toronto, but before they left they were joined out on the ice by their captain, Gabriel Landeskog. Not in shorts and sandals either. Landeskog took the ice in full gear and started some very light skating around the ice for the first time in almost a year. The road to return is still a way down the road, but if you are an Avs fan, it was impossible to not have a smile painted on your face seeing the video and images coming out of the Avs social media page. Baby steps.

Now the Avs will focus on the road, as their next five games will take place out east. With the Avalanche starting to play like we all know they can, how much confidence do they have heading into game one in Toronto after beating top teams like Vegas and Boston?
