For the second time in as many years the Colorado Avalanche swept their first round opponent in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. This time the Nashville Predators were the victim and now the Avs wait for their second round opponent which we know will be another division rival in either St. Louis or Minnesota.
For the first time all series the Avalanche trailed to the Preds, but Colorado didn't panic, continued to play their game and found not one, but three more goals in the 3rd period to seal the series.
Rest is always a good thing when it comes to the playoffs and now the Avalanche will have about a weeks worth of it, and you know guys like Darcy Kuemper are looking forward to the next round while being 100 % healthy.
