Avs Start Day With Two Big Trades. End the Day With A Victory vs Detroit

What a day that was.

The Colorado Avalanche threw their hat into the trade season with two big deals. One brought defenseman Sean Walker in from the Philadelphia Flyers while sending a first round pick and Ryan Johansen to Philly.

That deal immediately had people thinking something else was brewing, and we didn't have to wait too long to realize it was. Bowen Byram was sent to the Buffalo Sabres for Casey Mittelstadt.

We have thoughts.

Oh! And the Avs played a game as well against the Detroit Red Wings, and that went even better than expected with a dominating win.
