Sometimes, you just run into a goalie who's in shutdown mode. That's exactly what the Colorado Avalanche ran into with Jake Oettinger of the Dallas Stars.
The Avs threw everything they could at Oettinger, 47 SOG in total, but could only crack him once. Dallas on the other hand got three past Pavel Francouz (one a questionable goalie interference no call on Pavelski). Nonetheless, the Avs were going to have to win ugly if they were to win at all, and Oettinger was simply not going to be denied.
