It was going to be a tough task for the three Colorado Avalanche players to nab an NHL award, and in the end that proved to be the case as Philipp Grubauer (Vezina), Cale Makar (Norris) and Nathan MacKinnon (Hart) all went home empty handed for NHL hardware. Makar came the closest to Adam Fox in the voting for the best defensemen, but missing 12 games proved too much to overcome despite top of the league stats.
