The Colorado Avalanche never trailed in their 3-2 victory over the Washington Capitals Tuesday night, but Washington made the Avs earn the victory that put Jared Bednar at the top of the list when it comes to franchise coaching wins.

A few days earlier, Erik Johnson played in his 900th career game, and last night he played in his 700th game as a member of the Avalanche while at the same time, Nathan MacKinnon got his 700th career point on an assist to Artturi Lehkonen's opening goal.
