It took some time (near 12 hours in total) but the Avalanche skated past the Vegas Golden Knights 3-2 outdoors at Lake Tahoe. The game started with the sun high in the sky, but that same sun caused ice issues leaving the teams to pick the action back up at midnight eastern time. In the end, the Avs were too much for the Knights, who used some questionable tactic to rattle the Avs. Let us also look at the schedule for the Avs over the next five weeks, which sees the Avs playing minimally every other day.
