Avalanche Win All Four Games on Road Trip After 5-1 Victory Over the Detroit Red Wings

The Colorado Avalanche came together as a team in the last week, and that's what can happen out on the open road.

The Avs have really found their game over the past month, and during this recent four game road trip, really seemed to put them emphasis on tightening up their defensive structure and game plan. Sure, Detroit had 34 shots on goal, but the Avalanche made sure very few were of the high danger variety.

After a sluggish first period, the Avalanche kicked it in to high gear and found their scoring touch, while making Detroit work for every opportunity they could conure up, and in the end, the Avalanche beat the Red Wings for the 10th consecutive time.

All is going well for the Avalanche as they are home this week and welcome the Chicago Blackhawks Monday night.
