You would think the Colorado Avalanche would come out ready in facing the team that eliminated them from the postseason last year. But they didn't. It got better as the game went on, but by then the Avalanche were battling from behind. When you are facing a good team like Vegas, they don't make it easy. In the end, the Avalanche put up a frustrating effort and now sit at 2-4-0 on the season.
It didn't help Jack Johnson got a game misconduct call, which is possibly the worst one I've seen. Stay tuned on if he gets any further punishment from player safety, and I'll say right now that if he does, there needs to be some serious change with who is running that department.
