The flight to Finland got a little longer thanks to a rough couple of games on the east coast for the Colorado Avalanche.

First, it was a 1-0 loss to the New Jersey Devils. Pavel Francouz got the performance he was in need of, but the Avs couldn't help out their backup goalie with any offensive production in getting shutout for the first time this year.

Then it was on to Long Island where the Avs built up a nice 3-0 lead heading into the 3rd period, only to see the Islanders net five straight goals to beat the Avs 5-4.

As far as the outlook of the season, there is no reason to panic. But that doesn't mean the way the Avs and in particular, the depth, are playing isn't fair game to criticize.

Chris and Kyle break it all down as well as fill out their Halloween candy bracket for best candy!
